Tile For Less has an Agenda to Make a Difference Our Cause On a quarterly basis we are sponsoring micro credit loans to qualifying and deserving women and men in Central American countries. With these resources these enterprising individuals will move from a life dependent on others for support to that of independence and self-sustaining Our Pledge In cooperation with Global Partnerships, we are contributing 1½ cents for every sq. ft. of ceramic tile and 2½ cents for each sq. ft. of natural stone tiles purchased at our Seattle or Kirkland stores. What's more, this isn’t just an idle pledge, we are continuing contributions through the end of the decade. The Mission With the continued patronage of our customers and the cooperation of our correspondent partner, Global Partnerships, Tile For Less looks to be directly responsible for initiating 1,500 micro credit loans which, with the compound effect of recirculating funds, could regenerate seed money to impact a total of 5,300 loans.
				Global Partnerships creates economic opportunity for people living in poverty so they can begin generating their own sustainable incomes. We orchestrate and invest in business-like poverty alleviation approaches in Central America and engage U.S. business leaders in working toward an end to extreme global poverty.

				Hermelinda used her first micro-credit loan to purchase a few chickens to later sell in the market. She earned enough to repay her loan and reinvest in a basket weaving business which eventually which grew to generate enough revenue to hire other people so her children could to attend school.
Our Progress Having completed just 3 years of our More Than Tile project, we are pleased to report that we are slightly ahead of our target.
