What is the recommended procedure for installing and finishing natural stone tiles?

Installation Tips:
• Stone tile installation is the same as that recommended for ceramic tile
• Adhesive—use acrylic modified thinset mortar (white for light colors; grey for darker stones)
• Trowel size for larger stones (16" x 16"+) should be 1/4 x 3/8 square

Pre-sealing Before Grouting:
• To minimize (or preclude) any grout deposits accumulating in the micropores on the stone's surface, it is advised to preseal before grouting. One recommendation would be Sealer's Choice, by Aqua Mix, but final selection might depend on the specific area of usage.
• Application - Use manufacturers suggested procedure

Protective Sealer:
• For best performance and lasting beautiy, apply one to two coats of Sealer's Choice to the finished tile surface—both tile and grout joint. (Wait at least 24 hours following grouting and be sure the surface is clean and dry before application)

Color Enhancing:
• The medium to dark colors in natural stone can be enhanced with an application of Enrich 'N' Seal,
by Aqua Mix.
*note: This application would be in lieu of the surface sealers mentioned above.
